Parnells Men produced a fantastic win last Tuesday night against Tir Chonail Gaels in the Conway Cup Semi Final. The game was closely contested all the way through with the half time score Parnells 0 – 09 to TCG 0 – 07.  Parnells kept the momentum going in the second half and upped the scoreline but then conceded two goals near the end of the game which led to a very exciting finish.  In the end they managed to retain their lead and win by a margin of 2 points.  Five of the forwards and both mid fielders all scored.  We now meet KKG in the final at McGovern Park, Ruislip on Thursday 13th July, time tbc.

Final result – Parnells 1 – 16 to TCG 2 – 11

Later in the week (Thursday), the men took on St Clarets in a League game.  After a tough game earlier in the week, fitness would prove decisive.  12 of the team  made the starting line up and a few changes.  By half time, Parnells had a very healthy lead 2- 05 to 0 – 3.  More points and goals were added in the second half producing a comprehensive win.

Final result – Parnells 3 – 12 to St Clarets 0 – 07.
