PRO Notes 10.6.2018

Parnells had numerous age groups in action last weekend, enjoying a feast of football and the sunshine.  Fulfilling all their fixtures at U15, U13 and U11; the players gave a 100% in all areas and are revelling in all the training and games that they are involved in.  The club also saw the U9’s travel to the Coley Folan Family Fun Day and Memorial Tournament held by Sean McDermotts in Solihull.  The mini bus journey was great fun as was the football and it was a great experience to meet and play other teams in and outside the UK.  Well done for flying the Parnells and London ‘banner’.

The Seniors continue to train in preparation for their League campaign starting at the weekend and in to next week.  They will welcome Marty Carroll back to the fold and see Ryan Forde return after a period of injury.  London were beaten by Louth at Ruislip last Sunday which was disappointing but were close at times in the game – hard luck boys.  Conversely, it was jubilation for the London hurlers who have reached the Christy Ring Cup Final, facing Kildare later in the month – fantastic.

This week’s fixtures for the Youth section see the U15’s in action again with two games during the week which are key to reaching the League Div. 1 Final.  Blitzes are on at the weekend for all age groups up to U13 apart from U11’s.  Good luck and enjoy.

The Club is also planning its Conrad Ryan invitational tournament for the 7th or 8th July, details available soon.

As the exam period continues, the club would like to wish all the best to those club players in our youth section still taking exams.  Also to wish Declan Doran a speedy recovery who suffered a hand injury when he went to Tipperary.
