Saturday 29th April Tir Chonail Gaels hosted our first Blitz of the Season with a strong attendance from Parnells with an U5, U7, U9, U11 and U12 Girls.
U9 Coach Ray Reilly said “Our Under 9’s attended their first blitz of the year in TCG grounds in Greenford were they played against TCG and Tara’s. We had 3 teams and about 25 players in total, whilst the weather was nice and sunny, the previous rain left the pitches very wet and muddy, but all 3 teams played brilliantly over the course of 3 games, there was some really good passing and teamwork working the ball up through the zones, and some very exciting score taking. One point was even from a sideline kick the likes of which you would see in Croke Park…keep it up Parnells”
U7 coach Liam Quirke said “we had a tough opening match against a good Tara’s team who probably edged it on the whole. Our second game was against TCG which Parnells dominated with some great passing and scoring. All in all a good day that everyone enjoyed”
our U5 Coach Orla O’Meara said “a brilliant day on Saturday at the TCG blitz, our U5 team took part in their very first blitz, and what fun they had. Our little superstars made some great memories in the start of their Gaelic journey”
