With football off the agenda at the moment; it was time for the youth section of the Club to enjoy their end of season awards presentation day which recently took place at Harrow Rugby Club. With players and families gathered, Colin McGuinness (Youth Chair) led the event reflecting on highlights of the season, including 2 trips to Ireland, competition wins and fantastic golf events. He thanked everyone involved in the club for ‘their contribution’ and ‘going above and beyond’ whether that was behind the scenes or on the football field. Players from U6 to U17 lined up to receive their accolades and some of the adults didn’t miss out either: Dan Moriarty collecting the ‘Best Supporter’ award and Irene Sheridan received one in recognition for her long service and contribution to the club. All the individual names will be written up in a separate report soon along with a collection of photos which captured the spirit of the day.
Further congratulations for 2 club players are in order. At the London youth presentation event last Friday, Darragh Griffin was awarded U15 Player of the Year and Amy Brown U14 Girls Feile Player. Two very talented players who deserved the recognition and have bright footballing futures ahead of them.
Also the club would like to confirm their ‘Race for Sam & Liam 2018’ winner as Eugene Meehan who won the substantial cash prize. Thank you to everyone who supported this fund raising competition.
The youth will be holding their agm at Harrow Rugby Club on the 18.11.2018 at Harrow Rugby Club from 5.30pm. Everyone welcome to attend. Parnells Senior date TBA.
