Parnells Youth hosted our first Go Games Blitz of the season on Saturday 7th May 2022, joined by Tir Chonaill Gaels and St Kieranan’s.
Parnells Youth had a fantastic turnout of players with 12 teams across 4 age groups.
- 4 teams in U7
- 4 teams in U9
- 2 teams in U11
- 2 teams in the U12 Girls
We were extremely proud of the amazing performance that every player displayed. The hard work at training is really starting to show through. A strong highlight of the tournament was the impressive turnout in the U12 Girls that saw 29 players across two teams, which is fantastic numbers. Some of these girls are very young but stepped up to the mark showing great courage and battling on the field.
Overall we had strong results across all teams, and great determination was shown. We have some great potential in our players and it’s a pleasure to witness their development.
Understandably, a huge amount of planning and hard work took place prior to the blitz to get everything set up, as well as on the day with our Committee Members, Team Managers, Registration Team, Refreshments Team and a number of Mum’s & Dad’s that helped out on the day with various jobs, to include manning the car park, clearing up etc.
A very BIG thank you to everyone that stepped up to help out, without this help these events would be impossible to run.
We were delighted to receive some very complimentary feedback after the game from the clubs in attendance, on how organised and enjoyable the day was.
